We invite you to join us this End of Financial Year by contributing to the Building Fund, as we seek to raise $80,000 together.

A theological college isn’t just a collection of ideas – it’s a physical place. Whether it’s the library that houses our resources, the lecture rooms where knowledge is formed and character is forged, or the student housing that makes living in Sydney affordable... your gift means that our entire campus can remain a resource for ministry formation.

Your gift to the Building Fund ensures the door stays open and the lights stay on.

This June, we're highlighting stories from Christ College students to show how Building Fund donations have impacted their lives.

Have you ever wondered what Mission Week is like?

This year one of the places we visited was Hobart. We had the privilege to come alongside John’s Presbyterian Church and do ministry with them.

For Christ College students, Mission Week is more than just a chance to serve and connect with other churches; it is an opportunity for formation, reflection, and growth.

What is a graduate attributes approach?

At Christ College we don’t simply care about what you know, we care about who you are.

That’s why all our courses are founded on our graduate attributes. Together, we are forming leaders for God’s Church, for the sake of God’s world. Study at Christ College and, in the power of the Holy Spirit, become someone who:
Knows God in Christ
Loves God in Christ
Knows self in Christ
Loves people like Christ
Leads God’s Church under Christ
Preaches and teaches Christ from the Scriptures

Justin P**n is a part-time student at Christ College and the new Finance Officer starting in May 2026.

When Justin steps into his new role as Finance Officer this May, he brings with him more than just accounting experience, he also brings a rich theological background in study at Christ College.

His journey is one marked by steady faith, moments of uncertainty, and a deepening conviction about serving Jesus.

What does it really mean to do everything in the name of Jesus?

Not just in the big moments, but in the emails, decisions, conversations, and quiet responsibilities that fill our everyday lives.

In this article, John McClean (Vice Principal and lecturer in Theology at Christ College) explores how the concept of Christ’s threefold office—King, Prophet, and Priest—provides a theological framework for understanding the spiritual significance of everyday life.

You often hear that theological students have to choose between academic study and practical training, but that's just not true! Focusing on one and ignoring the other really misses the point. If we value being practical at the expense of being academic (or vice versa) we cheapen the whole endeavour.

Here at Christ College, we do not make a choice between academic study and practical training. This kind of whole-person formation means our graduates are ready for ministry in the real world.

They are prepared not only for the pulpit, but also for the hospital bedside, the secular workplace and their own family home.

Tassie Mission 2026!

What a blessing mission week was in Hobart.

It was a privilege to share in church life for a week and to expand the church’s ministry in Hobart.

We also found some time to explore Hobart markets, lookouts and local restaurants.

Thank you to and the community of Hobart for your generous hospitality and fellowship. We are grateful for the opportunity to come alongside our faithful brothers and sisters in Christ.

We continue to pray for God’s provision and blessing in Hobart.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17

The call in Colossians 3:17 is far more comprehensive and demanding than we usually assume, because living for Christ applies to every part of life.

This means even the most mundane actions are meant to be done in representation of Jesus. Meaningful representation of Jesus is not isolated to ministry work, but is reflected in the lives of every follower of Jesus.

That is why at Christ College we believe theological education is for every follower of Jesus—from ministry workers, to financial advisors, nurses, photographers, and parents.

Studying at Christ College teaches you:
To see the world through a Biblical worldview
To think critically about ethical, philosophical, historical, and pastoral issues
To grapple with big questions
To understand people in their context, and care for their deepest needs
To communicate effectively and creatively
To serve your community and the world
And much, much more.
