Today, the REIV took the unprecedented step of standing with the Opposition to urge major amendments to the Consumer Legislation Amendment Bill 2026.

The REIV is calling on the Victorian Government to redraft the Bill, warning that its gaps and impracticalities will expose sellers, buyers and agents to serious litigation risks while adding unnecessary complexity to property transactions.
