Please re-elect Jo Clay MLA for Ginninderra today! she has been incredibly supportive and effective in promoting issues for artists and environmentalists in Canberra. She managed to get our urban timber rescue plan to see use values for Canberra trees into the 2023 to 2030 circular economy plan. This means instead of mulching, suitable trees can be milled into beautiful hardwood made available to schools and local makers.
Sheโ€™s also very aggressively pursuing the establishment of more artist Studio space availability in Canberra, which we know is insufficient currently and causes promising young artists to leave the area for Sydney and Melbourne.
Vote Jo for Belco!!!!

Hello Adelaide!
I am on the hunt for broken, unwanted or unsellable wood chairs and small tables in Adelaide. I am now at JamFactory for a short-term artist residency in the Furniture workshop until 6 Sept and need a small stockpile of material for my project.

Please spread the word to your Adelaide connections that I will relieve them of their wood chairs in any state of disrepair that they have been meaning to repair/toss/give away ๐Ÿ˜‰ The caveat is that it must be solid wood and have zero to minimal upholstery.

I don't have wheels, but JamFactory is accepting the drop-offs at their loading gate, just ring reception to arrange a time [(08) 8410 0727 Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm]. Alternatively, DM me and we can arrange to meet you out front at 19 Morphett St ๐Ÿ˜‰

Greetings friends of wood and trees,

I am writing to let you know that we still have our great resource of this ANU webpage for anyone interested in finding out more about urban timber rescue: https://urbantimber.anu.edu.au/symposium-resources/

Symposium Resources - Urban Timber Symposium
Case Study Clackamas County Elkhart, IN: Creating Value in the Wake of Emerald Ash Bore Feasibility Study for Urban Woody Biomass Utilization for Urban Economics Development Harvesting Urban Timber Logging Urban Trees to Save Forests Lumbar from Urban Construction Site Trees On the Sustainable Re-Use of Timber from Felled Urban Trees in the ACT Projects [โ€ฆ]
urbantimber.anu.edu.au

Our webpage has seen very little traffic, which is threatening its continued justification for maintenance. Please put this on your radar, and let interested parties know about it. Also, it would be fantastic if you could just give it a quick click to boost traffic so it doesn't get mothballed!

Many thanks!
