UNSW Canberra’s mission is to support lifelong learning through innovation and engagement whilst leveraging our location to build meaningful relationships across Defence, industry, government and academia. We are a prestigious Australian university college of the University of New South Wales, with a unique focus on defence and security. Here, ADFA trainee officers combine a degree from UNSW with
their military and leadership training. We offer a range of high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as professional short courses. These cover a range of disciplines within arts, business, engineering, IT and science. All our courses are designed and taught by top researchers and defence industry specialists who address real-world problems. We provide postgraduate research and coursework programs to the general community available by distance, intensive or on-campus. Applications for these programs may be made by Australian citizens/permanent residents, New Zealand citizens and international full-fee paying students. UNSW Canberra educates future leaders of the Australian Defence Force with a balanced and liberal undergraduate education, to compliment their military training. Undergraduate students are mostly midshipmen of the Royal Australian Navy and officer cadets of the Australian Regular Army or the Royal Australian Air Force.
