Challenge Yourself at the 2026 TULS Oceans & Antarctic Law Moot! 👩‍⚖️

Applications are officially open for the 2026 TULS Oceans and Antarctic Law Moot Competition, hosted by the University of Tasmania! This year’s complex problem question has been masterfully crafted by global Antarctic law expert, Professor Jeffrey McGee.

Whether you want to sharpen your advocacy skills or dive deep into the Antarctic Treaty System, this is your chance to compete on a major stage.

What You Need to Know:
The Team: 2 students + 1 optional coach.
The Grand Finale: In-person oral rounds held in beautiful Hobart, Tasmania from 25–28 August 2026!

CLSS SGM // We’re Recruiting! ⚖️

Want to get more involved with the law community and actually have a say in what we do? We’re looking for three new committee members to join the team for Semester 2.

If you’ve been looking for a way to build your network, beef up your CV, or just meet a solid group of people, this is it.

The Roles
• Treasurer: Keep our finances on track and help budget for events.
• Vice President: Work closely with the President to lead the society.
• IT Director: Manage our digital presence and tech requirements.

The SGM
We’ll be holding a Special General Meeting in Week 1, Semester 2 to officially vote in the new members.
• Who: Any current CLSS member can apply.
• The Process: Candidates will give a short, casual speech at the SGM explaining why they’re a good fit for the role.

Take a break from the books and join us for a law-themed movie night on May 7th!
• Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Location: Theatre 01A21
• Entry: Free for members / $3 for non-members
• Dress Code: Your favorite comfy PJs or loungewear.

We will release a poll of what movie to show later in the week 😛
