Our roots trace back to 1955 when the University of Melbourne's Summer School of Business Administration was established to deliver Australia's first residential executive education program. Why did an MBA graduate leave corporate law to produce films with his brother? 🎬

We caught up with Melbourne Business School Full-time MBA alumni Henry Koehne to hear how he went from corporate lawyer to co-founding an independent Australian film production company.

For Henry, the MBA helped him turn a creative ambition into a business, building the skills to raise capital, develop strategy and bring ideas to life.

Now, with a feature film in the works and short films screened at more than 40 international events, Henry is putting those skills into action.

💭 "I don’t think you ever finish becoming a leader.”

After 26 years in the US Navy, Dale Heinken’s next chapter brought him to Australia, and to Melbourne Business School’s Senior Executive MBA.

The program helped Dale build his commercial knowledge, learn from leaders across different industries and take new ideas straight back into his work.

Today, he’s Deputy Director-General of the Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Regulator, helping build Australia’s independent naval nuclear safety capability.
