Congratulations to Ori-cool, winners of the recent Orica Case Competition, as well as Right Energy Consulting in second place and Orica’s First in third! 🏆

Organised with Orica and our Sustainable Value Creation Institute (SVCI), the competition challenged students to apply their strategy and analysis skills to a live business challenge.

Working in teams, students developed solutions before presenting their thinking to a live audience and judging panel, putting their learning into action in a real-world setting.

Congratulations to all our prize winners and every student who took part. The calibre of thinking and talent throughout the competition was exceptional!

Happy 5th birthday, Dilin Duwa! 🎉

Since its establishment, the Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership has worked to advance Indigenous economic empowerment through education, research and engagement, always guided by the needs of Community.

Recently, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business leaders, educators, researchers and the broader community came together in Boorloo to celebrate the milestone.

Some leaders leave a lasting mark, and Catherine Walter is certainty one of them! 💫

Recently, we had the privilege of celebrating Cathy’s extraordinary contribution to Melbourne Business School with the unveiling of her portrait at the school.

An MBA alumna from the class of 1989, Cathy served on our board for nearly 20 years and was a co-founder of our Women in Leadership Dinner, helping create opportunities for women to connect, learn and lead.

Created by the brilliant artist Brittany Jones, the portrait is a fitting tribute to Cathy and the lasting impact she has made on our community!

Cathy, thank you for everything you’ve given to Melbourne Business School. We’re incredibly proud to have you as part of our story! 👏

Congratulations to Dr Mark Jones on his appointment as Associate Dean, Indigenous! 👏

A Karajarri and Yawuru man with cultural roots from Rubibi (Broome), Mark has been an integral part of the Dilin Duwa Centre for Indigenous Business Leadership for the past three years.

From leading the MURRA Indigenous Business Program to research that challenges traditional definitions of business success, Mark’s work is helping strengthen Indigenous business education, knowledge and leadership.

We’re proud to see Mark take this next step and look forward to the impact he’ll continue to make.
