Do you use STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) in your studies? Interested in joining us as a Women in STEM Ambassador in 2025? Apply now!

The Women in STEM team at RMIT are currently recruiting for students to expand our Women in STEM Ambassadors program for 2025. This role involves the delivery of programs with school and community groups where you will get to share your STEM story, facilitate activities and work as part of a diverse team.

These paid casual roles will involve engaging with high school students and community members (mainly women) by facilitating STEM experiences in the form of workshops and activities.

Ambassadors will receive training and support throughout their involvement and the role is flexible around their study load and other casual work commitments. In total the hours are between 10-30 hours a year.

To express interest, RMIT students need to fill out the EOI form: https://forms.office.com/r/bgnEQ7HYAm. Expressions of interest are open up to 13 November.

Aurora Australis ✨

Who else was lucky enough to capture the beautiful Aurora Australis or Southern Lights over the weekend? 🤩

The Aurora Australis occurs when charged particles from the Sun collide with Earth’s atmosphere. Over the weekend, multiple coronal mass ejections (CMEs) from the Sun reached Earth causing a G5-level geomagnetic storm on Saturday night. These images were captured on Saturday night in Mornington Peninsula! 📸
