Congratulations LCAD alumni, who was recently awarded the Valda Cuming memorial award by for her fabulous soft sculpture, 'My Lovely Little Creepy Glamorous Mouse'.

About the work:
"I was inspired by a viral photo of the 'Vacanti mouse'; a lab mouse growing a human ear on its back, that was going around in 1997 the year I was born. The sculpture is a commentary on wealth and excess and the apparently limitless boundaries of what money can buy and the tension between ethics and wealth."
