English and Mathematics Tutor (Year 1 -10) - Job Opening
The position involves teaching a group of students subject content (Mathematics and English), answering their questions and assisting them with homework/assignments.
Studywise Learning Centre provides comprehensive tutoring in various subjects for all year levels. We specialise in scholarship and Selective School Entry preparation.
We are now hiring and are on the lookout for exemplary young people to join our team. Since establishing in 2012, Studywise Learning Centre has helped hundreds of students in our community excel in their studies.
Casual/part-time English and Mathematics tutor/teacher position available in Cranbourne West (near railway station), Victoria.
You must be available to teach classes weekly on Saturdays, and some evenings on weekdays.
Main tutor responsibilities:
- Teaching concepts that will assist students with their classwork and homework.
- Give students feedback and advice on how they can improve.
- Marking students' classwork and/or homework.
- Tutors will be supervised and are provided with resource material and training.
Who we are looking for:
To be considered for this position applicants must:
Have a strong desire to help students and have an interest in education.
Demonstrate a strong competency in the subjects you are teaching.
Current Children Check or VIT Registration is preferred, but not essential.
You are to have/apply for Australian Business Number (ABN).
Applicants must have completed VCE/Year 12 in Australia.
Please mention your VCE study scores for English and Mathematics in your cover letter or resume.
Work experience, with some other form of demonstrated leadership or team work is not mandatory, but highly preferable.
Have strong communication skills, and work well as a team.
