Australian Higher Education Academy The official opening was conducted by the then Premier’s wife, Jo Court. It is now located in one of the most prestigious buildings in East Perth.

The Australian Higher Education Academy (AHEA) commenced operations as the Australian Child Care Academy in August 1995 and was the first Western Australian accredited a

nd registered private training provider in the early childhood field. Since then, AHEA has added other fields of study to their operations to ensure it is able to meet the growing and diverse demands of the public. Located on Transperth’s free Yellow Cat route (between stop 26 and 27s), this location boasts outstanding access as well as student facilities. Transport is only metres from the front door. Staff employed by AHEA must have extensive industry experience and comply with the stringent standards monitored by the Western Australian Government’s Training Accreditation Council. Since its inception, AHEA has always been at the forefront of training innovation in the community services area. It established one of the first Nanny Certificate courses specifically providing training for young ladies intent on travelling the world and gaining employment caring for children. AHEA is capable of providing quality referrals to employment services from anywhere in the world. The Australian Higher Education Academy is a Registered Training Organisation under the Australian Government’s Quality Training Framework and provides training and workshops in the following areas:

• a bridging visa E holder (subclasses 050 and 051) who has made a valid application for a visa subclass 785 or 790; or
• a Ukraine citizen who holds a visa subclass 449 or 786; or
• a Afghan citizen who holds a visa subclass 449; or
• a bridging visa holder who are is eligible to work and has made a valid application for a visa subclass 866.
