The decision to close VicHealth is a shocking attack on public health promotion and its innovative work on the social determinants of health. Established in 1987, VicHealth's legacy is woven into the fabric of community well-being in Victoria. Its success is no accident—it stems from an independent, flexible structure and the deep expertise of its staff, which has earned it numerous awards and the trust of many culturally diverse communities. This must be protected. Please consider signing this petition.

UPCOMING EVENT - Muslims of Victoria: Stories of Migration, Community and Homemaking.

Muslims of Victoria: Stories of Migration, Community, and Homemaking shares the stories of nine Muslim migrants from Albanian, Turkish, Cypriot Turkish, Macedonian, and Bosnian backgrounds. The film showcases their journeys of migration, community-building, identity, faith, and belonging in Victoria.

By sharing their voices, the films foster a deeper understanding of the diversity within the Muslim community and the vital role Muslims have played in shaping Victoria’s social, cultural, and economic landscape.

Please join us after the event for light refreshments.

Supported by the Public Records Office of Victoria, Brimbank City Council Community Grants Program, the Bowery Theatre, Community, Identity and Displacement Research Network (CIDRN) and Cyprus Turkish Islamic Community of Victoria: Sunshine Mosque.
