We’re a little late to share, but… DVISG was awarded DUSA’s Event of the Month for our participation in Pako Festa 2026! 🥳

A huge thank you to everyone who joined, supported, and brought so much energy to the day.

And a very special shout‑out to 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 (𝗩𝗣𝗚)! Thank you for having us alongside you and for your incredible support. Being part of such a major cultural celebration with VPG made this achievement possible, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to showcase Vietnamese culture together.

We’re proud of this milestone and excited to keep creating meaningful experiences for the Vietnamese student community in Geelong.

Good food always brings people together, and we’re excited to share what you’ll be enjoying at Strike Up Your Study Journey. All dishes will be prepared by Destiny’s Coffee & Takeaway, a Vietnamese‑owned restaurant in Geelong known for its reasonable pricing and generous portions.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

We have some exciting news to share!
Thanks to a generous donation supporting our Vietnamese student community, 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 will now be completely 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 for all DVISG members.

Here’s what’s included:
🍱 Light Vietnamese meal + snacks
💬 A sharing session with helpful tips about life and study in Geelong
🎳 Bowling: now free for DVISG members

This means that the food and sharing session remain free for everyone, including non‑members. Bowling is free for DVISG members as a thank‑you for being part of our community.

🍲 𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗚 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗨𝗦𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 — 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲! 🍲
We’re excited to share that DVISG contributed two delicious Vietnamese recipes to the brand‑new DUSA Recipe Book: More than just cup noodle by the DUSA Survival Centre.

This recipe book is all about helping students cook simple, tasty, and affordable meals using ingredients you can find at the DUSA Food Pantry. Our Vietnamese dishes bring a touch of home and culture to the mix, alongside recipes from other clubs, making it a true community effort to support student life.

So if you’re looking for ways to eat better, save money, and try something new, browse the recipe book and start cooking!
