We’re thrilled to bring you an inside look at the creative genius behind the Mortal Kombat () film franchise. NYFA Australia hosted an exclusive Q&A session with Simon McQuoid, the director who successfully reimagined the beloved video game series into a cinematic masterpiece.

Our students had the amazing opportunity to listen to Simon talk about his Vision and Inspiration, Behind the scenes stories, Creative Challenges and what the future of Mortal Kombat is.

We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated production of “Hagar’s Hut,” brought to life by three remarkable alumni: Stephen Osborne, Jesse Seeley, and Luke Speech. This captivating thriller drama sees these talented alumni pooling their skills to create an unforgettable story. Written by Jesse, Directed by Stephen, with Luke serving as Director of Photography, the film showcases incredible local talent, led by Lincoln Lewis and Zarlia Chisholm.

But this is just the beginning! “Hagar’s Hut” is currently in production and is scheduled for completion by the end of August. This film showcases visionary collaboration in Australian cinema, and we’re thrilled to see alumni joining forces to craft something truly special.
