Beyond Burnout: Ways to Thrive in Law School

The session will be delivered by Samantha O’Brien and Sophie Williams, provisional psychologists in their final stages of training. They’ll be speaking about managing the pressures of law school, recognising burnout, and developing practical strategies to support wellbeing and resilience.

Thank you to Edge Legal for sponsoring this important event, and we thank Sam Masters from Edge Legal for joining us.

There will also be an opportunity for students to ask questions during a Q&A, and there will be light snacks and tea out at the foyer at the end of the session!

Skills Round Robin 2026!

The Skills Round Robin will be running over three Thursday evenings in September. You’ll compete in pairs across three weeks, tackling a different practical legal skill each week. You’ll work with the same problem question throughout, giving you a taste of how these skills come together in real-life legal practice.
* Client Interview - Thursday 3 September
* Negotiations - Thursday 10 September
* Witness Examination - Thursday 17 September

Each round will run between 5pm-7pm, subject to change.

This is a low-stakes, beginner-friendly competition designed for students of all year levels and experience levels. Whether you’ve never competed before or you’re looking to develop a particular skill, this is a great opportunity to give something new a go without the pressure of a major, time consuming competition.

No competition experience is necessary! Just grab a friend, sign up and get ready for a fun competition.
