The Pain Medications Study is a brief online survey looking at cognition (e.g.

memory), quality of life, and functioning in people using prescription opioids to manage chronic non-cancer pain. The Pain Medications Study is a research project run by researchers at the University of Tasmania (Australia). The purpose of the project is to look at how use of prescription opioids for pain might affect cognition (e.g., memory), pain, physical functioning, and general health in peop

le with chronic pain. The information gathered could help researchers, doctors, and consumers to better understand the possible cognitive effects of opioid use. Participation in the study involves completing a brief, anonymous online survey that should take around 15 minutes to finish. At the end of the survey, you can enter the draw to win 1 of 5 $50 Coles Group Myer gift cards if you choose. Participants must be:

- 18-65 years old
- Currently using prescription opioids (e.g. MS Contin)
- Experiencing chronic pain (lasting 3 months or more) that is
not related to cancer (e.g. back pain, arthritis)
- Not using medical opioids to treat opioid dependence
