Recently, we had join us to share the origins of their sport, their inclusive approaches, pathway opportunities, and the powerful work they do in the community through school programs that promote sport for social change and disability awareness. A big thank you to Andrew, Alan and Zara for sharing their personal experiences and giving our students the opportunity to step into the game and experience Goalball firsthand.

Goalball is a team sport designed for athletes with vision impairment, where players try to roll a ball embedded with bells into the opposing team’s goal. All players wear blindfolds to ensure fairness and rely on sound, communication, and spatial awareness to defend and attack.

A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky to welcome Coerver Coaching for a guest workshop for the Football Principles and Practices unit (PER1112) for a special session with our students ⚽️

As a globally recognised player development football company operating in 52 countries, Coerver Coaching brings world-class expertise to the game. Coach Educator Adrian Haynes delivered an engaging session focused on player development and ball mastery for ages 7–14, giving our students valuable insight into effective coaching techniques.

A great learning experience and opportunity to see elite coaching in action!
