Our thoughts are with the people of Nepal and everyone affected by the devastating floods.

As a community college, we’re especially thinking of our international students and our staff who have family, friends and loved ones in Nepal. We know how difficult it can be to be so far away when those you care about are facing such challenging circumstances.

As we celebrate the launch of today, we're reminded of the incredible stories that showcase the power of lifelong learning.
We're especially proud of Casey Fox, one of our trainers and a valued member of our Board, who has shared her learning journey as part of the Adult Learners Week campaign. Alongside fellow Learning Ambassadors, Casey is helping inspire others to take that important first step and continue learning wherever their path may lead.

As one of our wonderful ALW 2026 Learning Ambassadors Arron Brienesse said of his learning journey:

"The first step is obviously the difficult one but after that it's a path forward. It does not have to be a straight path, it can branch off in many different ways but just keep pushing forward, keep learning, keep motivating yourself and follow your compass. I still have so much more to achieve."
