TRIBUTE TO ALAN MEERS
PRINCIPAL AT PERTH BIBLE COLLEGE FROM 1984-2003

It is with sadness we share the passing of Alan Meers, former principal of Perth Bible College. The faculty, staff, and students at Perth Bible College extend our deepest sympathies to his family.

Alan faithfully served as the principal of the College, guiding it through times of challenge and growth with unwavering dedication. His leadership was instrumental in establishing the College’s Christian counselling centre and introducing a counselling course, significantly increasing student enrolment. Under his visionary guidance, the College also achieved the milestone of gaining the right to award accredited degrees and Diplomas in theology.

Alan was a devoted educator, a much loved principled leader, with a deep commitment to scholarship and learning.

Even in the face of illness, Alan's commitment to the College never faltered. Despite his battle with cancer, he continued to serve with remarkable dedication, making his way to the office to attend to college matters and continue his teaching. His perseverance amid suffering was a testament to his character and faith.

He lived out his faith through his work at the College and his involvement in the church and as such his contributions to Perth Bible College and the Kingdom of God are lasting and significant.

As we honour Alan's memory, we give thanks for his life of faithful service and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time of loss.
