As the cooler weather sets in, life in the Bee Paddock begins to slow down. Our bees have spent the warmer months busily foraging, now in the cooler months they shrink down the amount of brood, reduce foraging and rely on the honey they’ve worked so hard to produce.
While the bees settle in for a well-earned break, things start to pick up for us in a different way. For the beekeepers of Fergo’s Farm, winter signals the start of our events and market season — a time we truly enjoy. It’s when we get to step away from the paddock, meet with our community, and share what we’re so passionate about.
There’s nothing we love more than bringing our delicious, locally produced honey to market tables around the region. But it’s not just about the honey — it’s about the story behind it. We believe that understanding where your food comes from makes it all the more meaningful. So whether you're curious about how bees make honey, want to grab some handcrafted bee products, or are just looking to taste something sweet and natural, we’d love to chat.
Come along to one of our upcoming events or markets, say hello, and take home a little taste of Fergo’s Farm. Let’s celebrate nature, local produce, and the amazing work of our bees — even while they’re taking their winter nap.
