A message for our Observatory community

From Monday 5 October 2026, the MQ Astronomical Observatory will pause public and private viewing sessions for a planned period of renewal, expected to run into early 2027.

This break lets us focus on strengthening our facilities, equipment and experience for visitors following an independent review earlier this year.

📅 Existing bookings within this period will be cancelled. We'll be in touch about rescheduling or a refund.
🌟 Looking for other ways to connect with science and engineering at MQ? Reach out to [email protected] for school, community and industry programs.

We can't wait to welcome you back to a brighter, stronger Observatory in 2027. Thank you for your patience and support! ✨
