We're so excited to welcome the wonderful Lizzie back to the MACE Community Kitchen for another instalment of 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻: 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴! ❤️

Lizzie brings so much warmth and passion to the kitchen, sharing traditional Filipino recipes, cooking techniques and a little piece of her culture with everyone who joins her.

🎨 𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚!

We've had the pleasure of working alongside a wonderful group of students from Mansfield Autism Statewide Services this year, as they bring a beautiful mosaic project to life, under the guidance of the talented Sue Binzer-Jones.

From designing their creations and making individual tiles, through to glazing, firing and now carefully laying them into place, the students have been involved in every step of the process.

The finished mosaic will be proudly displayed at their school, creating something special for the whole school community to enjoy for years to come.

It's been a fabulous hands-on learning experience, with plenty of new skills developed, creativity explored and teamwork along the way.

And seriously, how beautiful is it coming together?! 😍

We don’t get to offer this one very often.

This Saturday, we’re welcoming 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 from 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to MACE for a practical, hands-on self-defence workshop - and we won’t get to have Howard back for another session until 2027!

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 to see Howard demonstrate some of the practical skills he’ll be covering on Saturday. 👇

A quick heads-up before watching: this video includes demonstrations of physical confrontation, including grabs and restraints, which some people may prefer not to view.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Howard’s approach isn’t about being fit, strong or knowing how to fight. It’s about knowing what you can do if you’re grabbed, restrained or find yourself in a situation where you feel unsafe.

Most importantly, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲. All genders, all abilities and no previous experience required — just a supportive, inclusive environment where you can learn practical skills and build confidence.
