TGS Week 11
===========
As it turns out, apparently most governments don't see adventuring as a real job. I put it down on the census as my occupation and later that week a representative came to my house to ask me about it. Upon regaling them with the stories of my many triumphs and won fights, they laughed in my face and asked me what my 'real job' was, which seemed ungrateful for someone who hasn't been eaten by a dragon.

I've been involved in a legal dispute since, but it's been going well for me because I have all of this adventuring gold that I can use to pay my legal feels. I'm beginning to suspect this may all be the doings of some sort of monster that's trying to extort me out of my treasure.

🎲 Alternate TTRPGs Day 🎲
----------------------------------------
When: Saturday, October 17th, 9am-5pm
Where: David Caro Building (B192)
Cost: $4 for members, $10 for non-members

Well. You know two things for certain. Number one is that the strange evil wizard who said they would said you to an alternate dimension was not lying. Number two is that this world seems to work differently... It's as if the very rules for moving about and interacting with the world are different. No matter! You've still got a job to do and dice to roll (or maybe not?).

Coming up soon, we will be hosting an Alternate TTRPGs Day! Come along to try out a system you've never tried before, or play more of one of your non-D&D favourites. All systems will be taught on the day, and there will be lunch provided to fuel your roleplaying prowess.

If you're interested, please sign up with the form below so we can organise as many games running as possible!

TGS Week 10
===========
For a while now, Gorg and I have been trying to come up with the perfect way to increase the size of our (and TGS's!) board game collection. The main problem here is lack of funds, as apparently most retailers don't take official TGS dollars with Gorg on them. We've come up with the perfect plan, however:

By slowly removing board games from our collection, until until we have hit -9,223,372,036,854,775,808 games, we'll hit the integer limit and underflow into having 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 board games! I'm not sure that that many board games exist, but I'm exicited to see what happens. I just need to figure out how to have negative board games...

TGS Week ???
============
Gorg, come with me, I must relay to you some most important information! I have found out today that the entire world as we know it is upside-down. The universal authority of the universe declared a universal 'up' direction and it's the opposite direction of Earth's up.

No I hear you, there is no consistent 'up' direction on earth, but the new universal standard is somehow opposite to every perception of 'up' on the surface of Earth. That makes me think that they may have done this just to spite us actually...

What? Of course this affects us! Well, for starters... It might get a little confusing when talking to aliens?

🖌️ Kappo Miniatures Partnership 🤝
------------------------------------------------

Trough a series of charisma and intelligence checks (and one strange strength check...) we have partnered with Kappo Miniatures, a miniature painting studio here in Melbourne, as well as their coincidentally similarly-named mascot Jorg!

As part of this partnership, club members will receive a 10% discount on commissions from Kappo, and he will be running some introductory Warhammer Age of Sigmar games during weekly board games for the rest of the semester. No experience at all is required to play, so these are the perfect opportunity to try out the hobby. There will be reminders in the announcement each week of these, and keep an eye out for signups and details from Kappo in the wargaming channel in the discord.

TGS Week 9
==========
Due to a planetary misalignment, the coming week has been thrown out of balance for the tabletop gaming community. Our top scientists at TGS have managed to stabilise it somewhat, but in doing so this Friday has become an inhospitable zone for board games.

To make sure that you folks still get your weekly fix of board games (I know I need it) we have readjusted the schedule this week as to place weekly board games onto Wednesday. This is the product of much R&D, so please be careful to not stress the system too much.

So remember, board games are on Wednesday this week, not Friday! If you try and play a board game on Friday this week it will probably explode.

TGS Week 8
==========
The time has come... the esael (which is like a lease but they pay you) on the PR Office has run out, so now Gorg and I have to look for somewhere new to set up. This wouldn't be such an issue if we didn't have to carry all of the furniture by hand to every new place we try out...

Most of the places we've tried out so far have been quite nice, but as soon as we ask about whether they allow ancient protective runes inscribed on all of the exterior walls they stop talking to us. I'm not sure if that's because they're allergic to magic or are just working with the enemies of tabletop gaming, but I know it's one of those two.

The place that we're checking out later today sounds promising - Gorg tells me they knew a wizard who used to live there, so the owners should be fine with magical protections. I hope so at least, I'm getting really sick of carrying around Gorg's painting.

TGS Week 7
===========
Hello and thank you for flying Air Gorg with us today. Conditions today are expected to be relatively standard, with very little turbulence or temporal disruptions expected on our journey. If we do enter a minor temporal distortion, please follow all instructions given by the crew, and fasten your own temporal stabilisers before helping others.

We expect to enter a small field of pure chance at around 1400 hours which we will manipulate to transport ourselves instantly to our destination. There is a small possibility that instead of appearing at our destination the plane will transform into a small cat with all of us trapped inside, but rest assured that if this happens, our ground team of highly-trained wizards will get us turned back to normal.

We are now about to take off - please make sure that your seatbelts are fastened low, tight, and throughout the entire flight, and if you see an ominous red glow outside the plane, please lower and keep lowered your window shade. We hope you have a good flight with us today!

All are welcome to come be put to the test in violent combat, intrigued by deep storytelling, or become invested in far-reaching exploration, all by our fearless DMs. Please check the rpg-signup channel in the TGS discord for what quests are available this week.

Never played D&D before? No problem at all! Arrive any time after 12 and our experienced and friendly group of people will assist you in making a character and answer any and all questions that you may have.

To secure a spot in a game, please make sure that you arrive at room 101 in Market Hall before 2pm, as any later will mean that games will likely have started before you arrive. Our adventurers are now at level 12!

If you're a long-time adventurer and have enough gold to make a scale model of a dragon, consider spending it in the magic-item-market channel in our discord. Press the Interact button to open doors, inspect items, and more.

👑 Weekly Board Games 👑
----------------------------------------
When: Friday 4th September, 12pm-5pm
Where: Science Gallery

Board games. The most fun you can have with a board and a game, but often so hard to find the time and people to play as much as you know you want to. Well no longer!

As always, weekly board games will be running this Friday in the Science Gallery 12-5 (though we will begin packing up around 4:30). No matter what kind of game you prefer, or how knowledgeable you are, we have the game (and people!) for you.

Whether you're looking for new games and friends or want to bring your own (everyone is welcome!), we've got everything you need. If you have any questions feel free to message us on Discord or Instagram.
