⭐️📘 M-ASS PRESENTS: 2025 M-ASS WRITING COMPETITION!! 📘⭐️
Ah Writing! The thing that takes up most of a uni student’s time. Dust off your old essays or creative writing pieces and enter the 2025 M-ASS WRITING COMPETITION to go into the draw to win up to $1500 worth of AMAZING prizes. Isn’t that a dream… or at least worth all that time and energy you spent on the work?
The 2025 M-ASS Writing Competition is an opportunity for you to dig up those old essays or creative pieces, share them with others and potentially win some epic prizes from our sponsors. Previous prizes included Canon cameras, books and book vouchers, magazine subscriptions, cash prizes and other goodies worth up to $1500. This competition is judged my academic and creative writers who work in the field!
The process of entering is easy - simply source one of your already completed pieces of writing (academic or creative) from any subject within the Faculty of Arts. Then, make sure it has been submitted as a University of Melbourne assignment in either Semester 2 of 2024 or Semester 1 of 2025, and that you received a mark of 70% or higher. From there, complete the submission form (google form linked below) and voila! Add our cover letter to the beginning of the document (must be a word doc). You've entered!
You will have from the 8th-22nd August to submit your work! Then, sit back, relax, and join us at our 2025 Writing and Publishing Industry Night (September 10), which doubles as our awards evening for the Writing Competition 🏆 This event is an amazing opportunity to hear from a range of professionals within many facets of the publishing industry, including authors, journalists and publishers themselves. More info on this to come, so keep your eyes peeled. 👀🗓️
Please refer to the Information Document and Terms and conditions 2025 for all the entry requirements before submitting your pieces. Entries that do not comply will be void so read them carefully.
