Already an experienced teacher? CELTA could be your next step into a new teaching context.

Zoe is a primary school teacher who wanted to explore new opportunities in English language teaching. She chose to complete CELTA over 20 weeks and, in her testimonial, shares how much she learned throughout the course and the support she received from our tutors along the way.

Whether you’re starting out in English language teaching or looking to take your existing teaching skills in a new direction, CELTA can be an opportunity to learn, grow and explore new possibilities.

Our next fully online, part-time evening CELTA course starts on 9 November. With the Christmas break falling midway through the course, it’s a great option if you’d like to spread out your studies and enjoy a few weeks off over the festive season.

You’re never too experienced to keep developing your teaching practice.
What’s one thing you’ve learned recently that has changed or improved the way you teach?

After six years of teaching EAP in China, Iris recently completed an online Cambridge CELTA course with MTI to gain professional development.
She’s been applying the teaching techniques and principles from the course into practice in her EAP classroom, and told us she has noticed some real changes in the way she teaches.

We love hearing how teachers take what they learn on CELTA and make it relevant to their own classrooms to enhance their teaching skills, and of course enrich student learning.

Where could CELTA take you?

One of the things we love about CELTA is that there’s no single path after you finish the course.
For some, it opens the door to teaching English overseas and discovering new countries and cultures. For others, it leads to opportunities right here in Australia - in language schools, universities, community programs, and more.
And sometimes, it can take you in directions you never expected!

😍We love hearing what our past graduates have done since doing their CELTA.
Mandy wrote to us and told us about the variety of roles she has experienced, from teaching refugees and academic English in Australia to supporting EAL teachers in Cambodia.

Whether you're hoping to teach overseas, build a career in Australia, work with migrants and refugees, move into academic English, or explore opportunities you haven't even imagined yet, CELTA gives you internationally recognised practical training that can open up a world of possibilities.
