Do you guys want to join the Japanese club committee for 2026/2027? For those who want to learn new skills and gain experience, and for those who have a passion for Japanese culture, it’s time to join the committee🌟

🗓️When: Tuesday, 15th September
⏰Time: 5:15-7:15 PM (Sign-in available from 4:45)
📍Location: Lyle Theatre, Redmond Barry Building
❗️Current students of UniMelb are only eligible to nominate and vote for committee positions at our AGM❗️
🔔The committee nomination form is available in the newsletter sent to members + the link in bio!🔔
We encourage anyone to run, no matter your background, language, or skill level.
🗳️Election Info🗳️
Voting: Must be a 2026 member & current UniMelb student before the day of the AGM. Running for committee: must be a 2026 member & current UniMelb student before the day of the AGM.
Each nominee will be asked to present a short speech (1.5 min max.) - Introduce yourself,
explain why you’d like to be on the committee, and what makes you suitable for the role!
Running for multiple positions: roles will be voted for in order of Executive then General committee. If you are unsuccessful, you may proceed to run for another position. If you are successful, you do not need to run again.
The following positions are available (and voted for in the following order):
Executive committee positions:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Education Officer
Secretary
General committee positions:
Activities Officer
Publicity Officer
7x Logistics
