Melbourne University Japanese Club (MUJC) Melbourne University Japanese Club was founded in 2000, by Chris Lui, Hannah Koyama, Teresa Louey, Lee Macaulay, Taggy Yiu, Mikoto Mishima & Yoshiko Take.

As of 2019, the club has 450+ members and continues to grow each coming year. The Melbourne Uni Japanese Club is a club for anyone studying or with an interest in Japanese language and/or culture. If the only Japanese word you know is "sushi" don't worry, we are more than happy to have you join us! The club holds a variety of social and cultural activities throughout the year. dly and relaxed, and our main goal is for our members to enjoy themselves! Our events also provide opportunities for members to interact with others sharing an interest in Japan, to further their understanding of Japan, and to gain another perspective on their studies of Japan and the Japanese language. Welcome to the beautiful & exciting MUJC x Lost & ReFound collab! 🪡✂️🪭🎏

Come craft with us and create Japanese-inspired art using recycled materials, from Kumihimo braided bracelets 🧶 and Fūrin wind chimes🪼 to Sashiko stitching 🪡✂️ and paper lanterns🏮. Drop in, chat, and take home something unique!

We have exciting news for you! We introduce you now to ✨COMMITTEE TRIALS✨!

From next week, we’ll have new people helping us organise our events, and this can be YOU🫵

For WEEKS 4 & 5, we’ll welcome 2-4 new Logistics Officers & 1-2 Publicity Officers to be part of the committee for two weeks🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Whether you’re interested in being part of the upcoming committee, or you just wondering what goes into making our events happen, this can be an amazing experience for you!

You’ll help us prepare the upcoming events: Smoothie Social, Japanese Game Show Night & Kissaten CAFE Collab🥤🧩🎭🍮🍰

APPLICATION INFO ⬇️

★ Need to be a current Unimelb student & available to help during the week (mainly Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays) on WEEKS 4 & 5.

★ You don’t need to have any relevant experience to apply for any of the positions.

★ [If applying for Publicity] Not required, but experience in Marketing/Design/Social Media is very helpful and an extra!

★ None of this is extremely formal, so in your application just be yourself! We wanna get to know you!
