Everyone welcome: Sunday 11th September - Book your seats for High Tea By the Sea, a fabulous Sunday afternoon event at the Parkdale Yacht Club - presented by Partnerships For Protection and The Thin Green Line Foundation

Funds raised from this event will allow 5-7 Indigenous Women Rangers to visit Melbourne in 2023. These rangers will come from remote Australia - the Kimberley, Arnhem Land and the Western Desert. They look after Country and Culture in some of Australia’s most important ecosystems.

At the event, you’ll be treated to a magnificent menu of sweet and savoury delights, tea, coffee, a glass of bubbles – and stories from Tim Schneider and Kylie Wiersma, a couple who packed up their young family and moved to the Western Desert to live and work with the Martu community for six eventful years. Tim is General Manager of The Thin Green Line Foundation – an NGO that supports rangers in more than 50 countries around the globe – and your co-host for the afternoon.

So, grab some friends and enjoy a springtime Sunday afternoon taking in the beautiful coastal views and supporting a fabulous cause.

Very proud of this man and his efforts this year to raise money for kids with cancer. Graeme you are an inspiration.
Our friend Graeme Sissing has been awarded the 2017 Peter MacCallum Community Contribution Individual Award for going over and above in making a significant contribution to the Tour de Cure organisation, and demonstrating the Peter Mac values of Excellent, Innovation, and Compassion in action.

“Graeme Sissing: This rider was nominated in pretty much every jersey category we award which is a testament to the impact he has had on so many of the team in this years Peter Mac ride. He has been living (and I say living intentionally because I don’t think he knows any other way to roll!!) with the re-emergence of Cancer (for the 5th time), having treatment, hospital visits and he still pushes through with training. His team mates tell me he is always a pleasure to ride with and never complains even though he would have every reason to have a bad day! His attitude and enthusiasm are infectious. Without even realising, he has helped so many riders to face their own challenges and put them into perspective, and inspired them to keep going. For all these reasons, and just so many more, we award the Pink Jersey for Inspiring others to Graeme Sissing”.
