This week our Year 1 and Year 2 students put their green thumbs to good use as part of our RAW and READY unit! 🌱🥕🍅

Throughout this unit, students have been exploring how things grow, where our food comes from, and the journey it takes from farms and gardens all the way to our supermarket shelves. They have also been learning about making healthy choices, sustainability, and caring for our environment through hands-on learning experiences.

There was so much excitement as students planted, explored, and discovered just how important it is to grow and care for our food. We can’t wait to watch our garden grow! 🌿

National Simultaneous Story Time:
Today our youngest readers at St John’s enjoyed a national reading event.
Foundation students were part of the National Simultaneous Story Time event; They read “Luna Roo” an Australian storybook that shares an experience about trying your very best and working in a team.

Schools, libraries & Early Learning Centres around Australia joined in this interactive event, with students cheering for Luna when she scored a goal!

This is one example of just how books and stories can bring people together; we hope you can share in your home too.
