Janet Clarke Hall (JCH) is a residential college offering an intentional community and home for students studying at the University of Melbourne, RMIT and Monash Pharmacy (Parkville). JCH students blend academic success with a rich cultural, sporting and social life. It's a year where we placed fourth in sports across all the colleges. We also brought home the Intercollegiate Cultural CupπŸ†, as the leading arts & cultural college on the crescent! Last week we launched the College's new Strategic Plan 2024-2029 with an event for alumni, donors, and friends. πŸ₯‚πŸŽΆ

This Plan will guide us in both our day-to-day activities and our long-term ambitions, including our goal to become Australia's first residential college to administer a fully need-blind admissions process by 2035, meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for students from low-SES backgrounds. πŸŽ“

We're thrilled to unveil the eagerly awaited program for Clunes Booktown Festival 2024!

This March 23rd and 24th, the historic and beloved Clunes transforms once again into a hub of literary discovery and cultural celebration. Offering free entry, opening the doors wide to book enthusiasts of all ages to dive into the vibrant storytelling and rich ideas Clunes Booktown is celebrated for.

This year's festival boasts an impressive array of authors and thinkers, including luminaries like Helen Garner, Tony Birch, Sofie Laguna, Alice Pung, Maxine Beneba Clarke, and Toni Jordan.

Prepare to be engaged by panel highlights such as 'Making Q***r History,' where Michael Earp, Wayne Murdoch, and Ange Bailey, guided by Dennis Altman, will explore the importance of preserving q***r narratives.
