Thousands of prospective students joined us on campus for Tel Aviv University’s Open Day last Friday!
They came to explore degree programs, meet faculty members and students, discover new opportunities, and take their first step toward the future they want to build.
From packed lecture halls and campus tours to conversations about research, innovation, and student life, it was inspiring to see so many curious minds asking questions and thinking big about what comes next.
This year’s Open Day also featured a dedicated center for reservists, career service members, and displaced residents, where visitors could learn about special admissions pathways, academic accommodations, and support programs designed to help them succeed.

Open Space of Memory: Memorial Stickers Archive
Tel Aviv University and the Gray Foundation are proud to announce "Engraved Voices – An Open Space of Memory" by architect Lihi Ein Gedi Davidovitz, as the winning design for a campus memorial honoring those who fell in the October 7 attack and the wars that followed.
At the centre of the memorial will be a steel wall engraved with phrases inspired by memorial stickers, a civic initiative that emerged across Israel after October 7th as a spontaneous, personal, and deeply powerful form of remembrance. These messages, created in memory of the killed civilians and soldiers, carry voices of grief, resilience, hope, and life.
Alongside the physical memorial, Tel Aviv University has launched a digital archive dedicated to preserving these memorial stickers and the stories behind them for future generations.
We invite families, communities, and the public to explore the archive, upload photographs of stickers, and share information about the people, artists, and messages they commemorate.

Researchers from Tel Aviv University have developed a new treatment that significantly reduced nerve cell damage after spinal cord injury, and helped injured animals recover up to 80% of their motor function.
The treatment works by removing excess glutamate, a neurochemical that rapidly accumulates after injury and triggers further damage to the nervous system. Unlike existing approaches, the therapy can be administered through a simple intravenous injection within hours after trauma, a critical window for preventing long-term disability.
The breakthrough, led by Dr. Angela Ruban from TAU’s Stanley Steyer School of Health Professions and other researchers from Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences and Sagol School of Neuroscience, may also open new possibilities for treating traumatic brain injuries and stroke.
