When students first enter a trade workshop, they may be excited to start using tools and practising techniques.

But there's something that comes first.

Safety.

Before using equipment, students need to understand workshop procedures, potential hazards, appropriate PPE and how tools should be handled.

Good workplace habits start with understanding your environment, following procedures and taking responsibility for yourself and the people around you.
