Thank you for helping our library community make 1000 cranes for International Peace Day [Monday next week]—now on display in the Dalton McCaughey Library.

You can join us in the Dalton McCaughey Library [22 September] to observe the day with a chapel service held from 10:30 to 10:45am by Amanda Nicholas, and an opportunity to write your Message of Peace on a white paper crane. Each message will be assembled in a string of paper cranes for displaying throughout September.

Edit: This post previously said that we would be observing International Peace Day a week early. This was incorrect: International Peace Day is on the 21st September, and we're observing the day on the 22nd September—sorry about that.

We're delighted to share a generous donation of books exploring First Nations knowledges, now on display and available to borrow at the Dalton McCaughey Library.

These books introduce indigenous knowledge systems on Plants, Design, Astronomy, Law, Songlines, Country, Innovation, Ceremony and Health, and explore their relevance to the present and future. We are deeply grateful to our donor for helping expand this important part of our collection.

We invite you to browse the display, borrow a book, and continue learning beyond NAIDOC Week.
