Wear It Purple Day celebrates students and staff who identify as LGBTQIA+SB, while highlighting the importance of creating an environment where everyone feels respected, valued and able to be themselves.

This year's theme, Colours of Courage, recognises the courage it can take to express your identity authentically and encourages all of us to help foster a culture of inclusion, belonging and support 🌈

Over the past two weeks, we’ve welcomed hundreds of future students through the doors of our Box Hill, Lilydale and City campuses.

Some came with a plan. Others came looking for guidance. Wherever you were in your decision-making journey, we were proud to be a part of it ❤️

Nothing tells the story of TAFE better than hearing directly from our students.

This week, we welcomed Premier Ben Carroll MP, Paul Hamer MP, DJSIR Deputy Secretary Lill Healy and OTCD CEO David Miller to our Elgar campus, where they met with our Nursing and Dental Assisting students 🤝

Students spoke about their study journeys, the impact of Free TAFE, and what they hope to become in the future 🚀

Their stories were a powerful reminder of the impact vocational education can have, creating opportunities for learners while helping build the skilled workforce Victoria needs.
