🌾🏆 Farm Skills was a fantastic success! It was wonderful to see the Morawa teams back and competing. 👏🐴

There were plenty of highlights and some fantastic moments across the teams. 🌟

Our Year 11 team finished 5th overall, a great result and a reflection of the effort and commitment from everyone involved. 💪👏

It was also a pleasure to welcome RASWA President Anne Stroud, who was on hand to present the ribbons. 🏅

Anne spoke about how wonderful it was to welcome Morawa back with three teams. ❤️

Congratulations to everyone involved. 🎉 The results are a fantastic reflection of the hard work, teamwork 🤝and commitment shown throughout Farm Skills.

Well done, Morawa! 💙🌾👏

There will be more highlights and placings posted over the coming weeks - stay tuned!

🐴✂️ A helping hand for our older horses!

As horses get older, they can sometimes find it harder to shed their winter coat when the seasons change. So we gave them a helping hand with a clip, helping them stay comfortable and enjoy the sunshine without overheating. ☀️

The first step was a thorough wash — important for the comfort of the horse and to help protect the clippers and keep them working at their best.

Then it was time for our students to get hands-on and put their clipping skills into practice. A great opportunity to learn while caring for our horses. 🐎👏

🐄🐑✨ Paraders Day at Kiara College! ✨🐑🐄

Staff and students recently travelled to Perth to take part in Paraders Day at Kiara College, where our students showcased their livestock handling skills in both cattle and sheep parading. 🌟

Our Ag team did an outstanding job, demonstrating confidence, professionalism, and the results of time spent training. 👏🐄🐑

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Kiara College for the invitation and for making our students and staff feel so welcome throughout the day. 😊

⭐ Special mention to Holly! ⭐
Stepping in as a last-minute entry, Holly had never led cattle before and went on to make the cattle leading finals. Well done, Holly! 👏🏆🐄

We are so proud of all our students for representing the college. Check out our Ag team in action below, with thanks to Mr Barbuto for the photos! 📸💚

🥞💚 A sweet way to finish! 💚🥞

Ms Tanner and Mrs Appleton spent some time with our Year 12 students making pancakes with the waffle iron as they celebrated their final day together in class. 🎉✨

It was a chance to put the books aside for a little while, enjoy some Maths for fun, share a few laughs, and spend quality time together before this chapter comes to an end. 😊

Wishing our Year 12s all the very best as they head into their next adventures. 🌟👏

🐴✨ What a fantastic and action-packed Week 8 for our Equine students! ✨🐴

After 12 months without an event opportunity, five students, six horses, and two staff members headed to Geraldton and Northampton for a memorable weekend of learning, competition, and teamwork. 🚛🐎

Friday saw students take part in a showjumping training day at the Geraldton Combined Equestrian Centre, where they not only honed their own skills but also completed helper duties and watched elite riders tackling courses over 1.3m high. The experience was truly inspiring! 👏

An early start on Saturday had the team arriving at the Northampton Agricultural Show ready to compete. Our students represented the College with pride, earning impressive results in both the showjumping and hack rings. Beyond their competition success, they also volunteered throughout the day, impressing organisers with their positive attitudes, willingness to help, and professionalism. 🌟

The feedback received from both clubs was outstanding: 💬 "They look fantastic in their uniforms and were all delightful to deal with." 💬 "All students were happy to receive tips and advice." 💬 "The students were polite and extremely willing to be helpful." 💬 "All students should be proud of their efforts."

A huge thank you to Equine Teacher Ms Greenwood for the incredible effort involved in organising, travelling, supporting students, and competing herself. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to providing these valuable opportunities for students is truly appreciated. 💐👏

Special thanks also to Mr Sapienza and the Automotive students for ensuring the truck was road-ready with its new roof and paintwork, and to Mr Beauchamp for driving the truck, supervising the trip, and keeping everyone fed, organised, and moving as our amazing "Camp Boss"! 🚛🔧😊

Congratulations to all students for being wonderful ambassadors for the College. The positive comments received speak volumes about your sportsmanship, work ethic, and character. We are incredibly proud of you all! 🌾🐴💚
