Adelaide University was proud to partner with Pangula Mannamurna for a SEXtember event that brought students and community members together in a culturally safe and welcoming space to yarn, learn and connect.
Following a Welcome to Country by Nathan Watson, participants took part in an engaging yarning-circle discussion led by Pangula's Aboriginal Health Practitioners, covering topics such as consent, respectful relationships, sexual health, wellbeing supports and accessing culturally appropriate services.
With plenty of conversation, learning, lunch and door prizes, the event provided an opportunity to build knowledge, strengthen community connections and promote health and wellbeing in a respectful, shame-free environment.
π Thank you to Pangula Mannamurna for partnering with us to deliver this important community event!
