We are pleased to share we have ranked #1 in Australia and #3 in the World in the Sport Management Research Contribution Rankings (2015–2025), published by the University of North Texas.

These rankings measure research output across the top three ABDC-ranked journals in sport management, and they reflect a decade of consistent, high-quality scholarship from our team. Maintaining this standing against larger programs and institutions, both domestically and globally, is a genuine achievement.

Three of our academics also ranked in the global top 50 individually:
β†’ Professor Kevin Filo 😊 #12)
β†’ Associate Professor Jason Doyle 😊 #21)
β†’ Associate Professor Popi Sotiriadou 😊 #32)

Congratulations to all three, and to every member of the Department of Tourism and Marketing whose work continues to shape the discipline worldwide.

Five incredible GBS students wrapped up their Trimester 1 internships at the Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach in style, celebrating with a lunch alongside the hotel's leadership team and GBS staff member Dr Barry Fraser.

Zia, Andre, Mili, Hazel, and Candice, we are SO proud of everything you've accomplished this trimester. πŸ™Œ

And the cherry on top? Two of the five have been offered ongoing roles at the hotel. That's not just a win, that's a testament to the talent, dedication, and professionalism our students bring to every opportunity.

A special shoutout to Hotel Manager Alexander Bark, a GBS alumnus himself, for being living proof of where a Griffith degree can take you.

Congratulations to all five students!

Exam season is here! We asked our Griffith Business School Student Leaders to share their best study tips and stress management strategies, and they delivered.

From clearing your desk before cracking open the books, to taking proper rest days, sometimes the simplest advice hits hardest.

Here are a few of our favourites from the crew:
✏️ Draw your notes and use mind maps to connect concepts
πŸ“± Set screen time limits during exam season
⏱️ Study in sections, 50 minutes on, 10 minutes off
🎯 Focus on one exam at a time. Don't multitask.
🌿 Give yourself at least one full rest day per week

Swipe through to see all their tips and save this post for when you need a reminder that you've got this. πŸ’ͺ

A big thank you to the 100+ Year 10 students who joined us this week to explore what studying Business at Griffith University could look like.

Students got hands-on during an economics and visitor economy workshop, where they used creative thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle real-world challenges. They also had the chance to test their detective skills in our financial crime activity.

One of the best parts of the day was hearing from our Student Leaders, who shared their experiences and answered questions about university life, study, and making the transition from school to uni.

If you're starting to think about your future career, a business degree can open doors to opportunities in areas such as marketing, accounting, economics, tourism, management, entrepreneurship and more.

We're excited to welcome our next group of students at the GriffithBUSINESS Ambassador Programs on 28 July in Brisbane South (Nathan) and 30 July at the Gold Coast.

Schools can register via the link in the comments.
