Uni4You is a project run by the Family Action Centre, which is a centre focused on strengthening family and community wellbeing. What we offer:
- Connection and encouragement for people interested in studying

- Academic guidance, skills and preparation prior to enrolment within a UoN tertiary preparation program

- A friendly and encouraging study group that meets regularly within your local area

- Assistance with applications, enrolment and accessing the university's tertiary preparation programs

The Uni4You project is designed to address educational disadvantage by engaging participants in a suite of capacity building activities that foster positive engagement with the University of Newcastle and encourage enrolment in their tertiary preparation programs. The project is a coordinated effort between the Project Team comprised of: Family Action Centre, Centre for Excellence for Equity in Higher Education (CEHEE) – AIM HIGH Program, English Language and Foundation Studies (ELFS), Careers Service and more recently The Wollotuka Institute. Since the project’s inception in 2013 the cross-Faculty/Division Project Team have worked with community members in Raymond Terrace and Karuah, Cessnock and the North Lakes (Central Coast) areas of New South Wales – all communities that are underrepresented in University participation rates.
