What if we could harness the power of stem cells to better understand ageing — and potentially reverse some of its effects?
Join us at Newman College for the 2026 Allan and Maria Myers Lecture, featuring internationally renowned stem cell and regeneration biologist Professor Robin Franklin FRS, Principal Investigator at Altos Labs Cambridge Institute of Science and Honorary Professor at the University of Cambridge.

Newman College was delighted to attend the Ballarat Christian College Careers Expo last week, connecting with students from Years 7–11 as they begin exploring their future pathways.
These conversations are an important reminder that tomorrow's leaders come from diverse communities, backgrounds and experiences. At Newman College, we are committed to fostering an inclusive residential community where students from across regional, rural, interstate and international communities can thrive academically, personally and socially.
Thank you to Ballarat Christian College for the opportunity to engage with such thoughtful, motivated young people. We look forward to seeing many of these future leaders continue their journey and hope to welcome some of them to the Newman College community in the years ahead. đź“·Photo courtesy of Ballarat Christian College.

We’re delighted to share that Newman College has received a $400,000 Australian Heritage Grant from the Australian Government to support our Stonework Restoration and Conservation Program.

Designed by Walter Burley Griffin, Newman College is a significant part of Australia’s architectural heritage. This funding will help preserve our historic buildings for future generations while also recognising the contributions of both Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin, whose vision helped bring the College to life.

We gratefully acknowledge the Australian Government’s support through the Australian Heritage Grants Program.

To help preserve this unique piece of Melbourne’s and Australia’s heritage, please support our Stonework Restoration Appeal:
