University House is the staff club of The University of Melbourne, providing a centre for the community life of University staff.

University House boasts its home at two impressive locations: the beautiful venue on Professors' Walk, Parkville, and the stylish Woodward venue located on level 10 of the Law School, Pelham St, Carlton. We also operate a cafe in Southbank, Lionel's Cafe on Grant Street. The club plays an essential role in University life, providing members with a space to socialise, relax and collaborate with fellow staff from a wide range of disciplines. Opening Hours:

Monday: 8.00am - 6:00pm
Tuesday to Friday: 8:00am - 9.30pm
Members Cafe Lunch: 11:45am – 2:30pm
Members Bistro Lunch (Mon -Fri): 11:45am - 2:30pm
Members Evening Bistro (Tue - Fri): 5:45pm – 9:30pm

Member Nerida and her family celebrated a wonderful milestone: her father Keith's 90th birthday! They joined us in the Bistro; chosen for its nostalgic factor and history when Keith once taught lectures at the University.

"I just wanted to pass on my sincere thank you for a really lovely experience for my fathers 90th birthday. The quiet and gentle ambiance was just what we needed to enjoy each other's company. The food and w**e were also very delicious and catered to everyone's needs. Importantly the venue is easy to access for someone with limited mobility. Thank you for all your help!"
