🎉 Highlights from the September AUSIT WA Branch AGM! 🎉
At this year’s September AGM, alongside the usual Branch Committee elections, two exciting updates were shared:
➡️ After years of advocacy by AUSIT and Professional Australia, the WA Department of Health has finally addressed the issue of protecting the legal rights of healthcare interpreters! Full details will be on their website soon. A huge shout-out to all colleagues who have tirelessly raised their voices 🙌👏
➡️ The industry has been buzzing about AI in translation. AUSIT is now updating the Code of Ethics, and the new version will include professional ethical guidelines for using AI in translation. Exciting times ahead for our profession! 🤖✍️
