Beyond the Fear: Presentation and Performance Skills

Offered for the first time in Semester Two, MUSC3511 is open to all students on campus.

Whether you’re stepping onto a stage, into a courtroom or boardroom, or up to the starting line, performance matters.

This unit helps students understand and manage performance anxiety through practical, research-informed strategies drawn from performance psychology, the performing arts, public speaking and elite sport.

Students will explore anxiety, mindset, perfectionism, deliberate practice and metacognition, then apply evidence-based tools before, during and after the moments that matter.

Build confidence. Strengthen presentation skills. Perform under pressure.
