Led by Hon. Roger Cook MLA, Premier of Western Australia - the WA–Vietnam Mission 2026 has been a strong platform for expanding Western Australia’s economic engagement with Vietnam.

A key focus was strengthening aviation connectivity, including discussions with Vietjet and opportunities arising from the new Long Thanh International Airport to support greater trade, tourism and business links. The mission also highlighted opportunities for WA’s energy and critical minerals sector, including rare earths, to contribute to Vietnam’s energy transition.

Alongside education, agriculture and investment, these engagements have created a strong foundation for deeper WA–Vietnam collaboration.
