Kevin Fred Abanga – Regional Manager, Africa

Kevin Fred Abanga joins Kingston International College as Regional Manager – Africa, bringing a multidisciplinary background in information technology, cybersecurity and networking, together with experience in international education engagement.

He holds a master’s degree in information technology, specialising in Cybersecurity and Networking from Murdoch University. Having lived and studied in both Australia and East Africa, Kevin brings a valuable cross-cultural perspective and an understanding of the educational environments, opportunities, and aspirations that connect the two regions.

In his role with KIC, Kevin will support the College’s engagement and development activities across the African region, with an initial focus on Kenya, while contributing market insights, stakeholder engagement and regional development initiatives in line with KIC’s objectives.

Kevin is passionate about building meaningful connections between education, technology and opportunity, and looks forward to contributing to KIC’s continued engagement and growth across the region.

Kingston International College is delighted to announce that Dr. Pelden Chejor has officially joined us today as our new RTO Compliance Manager!

Dr. Chejor’s unique professional background perfectly bridges healthcare regulation, strict institutional compliance, and higher education governance.

His impressive career highlights include:

👉 Academic Leadership: Acting as a current Adjunct Fellow at Curtin University and formerly serving as a Lecturer and Academic Unit Coordinator at Edith Cowan University (ECU).

👉 Advanced Qualifications: Holding a PhD in Dementia Care and a Master of Public Health, alongside a strong portfolio of published research.

👉 Regulatory Excellence: Serving as a qualified Pharmacist and leading the development of quality management frameworks for the Drug Regulatory Authority (Bhutan Food and Drug Administration) in Bhutan.

In Western Australia, Dr. Chejor is a highly respected academic and published researcher. He currently serves as an Adjunct Fellow at Curtin and recently worked as a Lecturer and Academic Unit Coordinator at ECU.

With a PhD in Dementia Care and a Master of Public Health, his expertise in curriculum transformation, policy analysis, and strict regulatory frameworks will be vital to our mission.

Dr. Chejor’s leadership reinforces our dedication to upholding top-tier training standards and compliance benchmarks for our international student community.

Thank you, Your Majesty His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, for placing your trust in us and giving us the privilege to be part of this important national skilling initiative. 🙏🇧🇹

This cohort of students will undertake studies in Hospitality, Individual Support, and Early Childhood Education and Care in Perth. They will remain in Australia until 2029, gaining valuable knowledge, skills and international exposure, before returning home to contribute as skilled resources to the nation.

This meaningful initiative is a collaboration between De-suung Skilling Programme+Kingston International College+Murdoch University, designed to support and supplement the growing skilled workforce needs of Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC).

What a remarkable day!

It was a pleasure meeting H.E. Andrew Barnes, Commissioner at the Australian High Commission in Kenya, Ms. Jemima Schilling, Trade Commissioner for Africa, professors and representatives from Murdoch University and others, our valued agent partner UniServ, and other industry stakeholders, partners, and investors.

The discussions explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration between Australia and Africa, particularly Kenya, across education, trade, and investment.

We are excited by the potential for meaningful partnerships and are proud that Kingston International College is contributing to these conversations and building stronger international connections.
