Curtin University School of Education PhD students Marisa Schiavi has received a highly competitive scholarship through the Australian Government’s National Industry PhD Program.
Delivered in partnership with Catholic-Education Western Australia, Marisa’s research will explore how policy, institutional structures and educational practices shape inclusion for multilingual learners in Australia schools.

The project aims to generate practical, evidence-informed recommendations that strengthen leadership, professional learning and teaching practice, while supporting more inclusive and equitable learning environments for culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Congratulations to Marisa and her supervisory team, Dr Carly Steele, Associate Professor Julian Chen and Professor Toni Dobinson, on this outstanding achievement.
