LINK Dance Company LINK Dance Company is the graduate-dance-company based at the internationally renowned Western Austra

Dancers who have completed a three year tertiary dance course can apply for admission to LINK’s one year postgraduate program. It offers a select group of graduate dancers a unique transition year between training and ‘the profession’ whilst still supported by a conservatory environment. Originally established in 2002 by Chrissie Parrott as an innovative research project within WAAPA’s Dance Depar

tment, LINK evolved into an ongoing resident company with a commitment to the creation of new works; and national and international touring. Since its inception the company has been guided by Artistic Directors: Chrissie Parrott, Olivia Millard, Justin Rutzou and Michael Whaites.

Please come and watch our incredible development that we have been working on over the past 3 months. With works by Cass Mortimer Eipper and Zee Zunnur, they will amaze and astound. Peter McAvan’s symbiotic compositions drive the darkness and reveal the light. New light design by Jolene Wibley and wardrobe design and construction by Rose Findlay 🌪️

We are so excited to premiere our double bill, featuring works by Cass Mortimer Eipper and Zee Zunnur, ‘The Dark Side’ in exactly 1 weeks time. This is our first season as a company and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!

As part of its 20th anniversary year, LINK Dance Company produced a season of new, contemporary works. In Your God was performed in Rehearsal Room 1 at the State Theatre Centre from Wednesday, 27 to Friday, 29 April 2022. The double bill of lip-synching, outrageous behaviour and exquisite dancing featured two exciting new works by LINK Artistic Director, Michael Whaites and James Welsby, set to original music by WAAPA Music graduate Peter McAvan. Special thanks to Raz Media for film production. Apply now for the Bachelor of Performing Arts (Honours) program and join LINK Dance Company in 2023.
