The University of Western Australia’s School of Indigenous Studies aims to achieve excellence and equity in all aspects of higher education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We offer pathway and diploma courses for Indigenous students, and undergraduate and Master’s degrees for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. We also offer two undergraduate majors: the Indigenous Knowledge, History and Heritage major available through a Bachelor of Arts; and the Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing major, available in Science and run in partnership with UWA’s Medical School and the Centre for Aboriginal Medical and Dental Health (CAMDH). SIS is based at Bilya Marlee (meaning ‘river of the swan’).
