Drug Trends has launched a new bulletin series, 'Trends in Drug Markets, Use and Health Impacts in Australia', to mark its 30-year anniversary.

The first bulletin in the series focuses on co***ne, highlighting record global production, continued high levels of occasional use in Australia, and increases in co***ne-related harms including deaths, hospitalisations and treatment episodes.

New NDARC research of L*D- and psilocybin-related deaths in Australia since 2000 were primarily due to traumatic injury, both through accident and self-harm. Cases of acute toxic reactions that were attributed solely to *D were rare.
