Speaking About Jesus Naturally: A Conversation with Evangelism In Australia

How can we speak about Jesus in a way that feels natural, authentic and appropriate in everyday life?

Join us for a free online conversation with Dr Tina Waldrom from Evangelism in Australia. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to recognise opportunities, begin meaningful conversations and share our faith with greater confidence and sensitivity.

This will be a relaxed and practical conversation for anyone wanting to become more comfortable speaking about Jesus — whether you’re a church leader, ministry volunteer, emerging church planter or simply someone who wants to share your faith more naturally.

Tuesday 29 September
7:00pm - 9:00 pm AEST
Online and free

Our T3 intake has just begun, which means a new group of students are finding their feet at ACOM. 👋

For some, one of the biggest questions is simply: Can I do this?

Student Engagement Manager (SEM) Kaye Shelbach says that feeling is pretty common. New students can be nervous about writing assignments, finding their way around our online platform, Moodle, or simply getting back into study.

And then, of course, there's everything else going on in life!

That's where Kaye and our SEM team come in.

Every ACOM student has an SEM who gets to know them and is there throughout their study—whether that's helping them make sense of feedback, navigate the practicalities or work out a plan when work, family or life gets complicated.

💬 “That's exactly what we're here for. That's all my job is, just to support students.” — Kaye

To everyone finding their feet with us this T3, welcome. We're glad you're here.

When Steph McNicol enrolled at ACOM in December 2024, she expected Bible studies, theology classes and practical learning about serving in church and community.

What she hadn't anticipated was the impact Spiritual Formation would have.

Steph admits she went into the unit sceptical. She worried about the time commitment and felt nervous about sharing her story with people she had never met.

“I couldn't have been more mistaken. Sharing my life with a small group in ways I had never shared before, and being granted the honour of hearing others' life stories, was a highlight for me.

“I went in sceptical and doubtful, and left with a greater understanding of myself, God’s grace, and spiritual growth that I may otherwise never have known. It allowed me to connect with the most incredible people.”

We are looking forward to being part of the CCVT Summit this year!

Members of our team will be there connecting with others who are passionate about ministry, training, and equipping people for meaningful service. It is always a valuable time to listen, learn, and contribute to the broader conversation around formation and vocational mission. If you are attending, we would love to connect with you while we are there!
