When Steph McNicol enrolled at ACOM in December 2024, she expected Bible studies, theology classes and practical learning about serving in church and community.

What she hadn't anticipated was the impact Spiritual Formation would have.

Steph admits she went into the unit sceptical. She worried about the time commitment and felt nervous about sharing her story with people she had never met.

“I couldn't have been more mistaken. Sharing my life with a small group in ways I had never shared before, and being granted the honour of hearing others' life stories, was a highlight for me.

“I went in sceptical and doubtful, and left with a greater understanding of myself, God’s grace, and spiritual growth that I may otherwise never have known. It allowed me to connect with the most incredible people.”

Churches of Christ across Australia are moving closer towards one unified national training college through ACOM - the Australian College of Ministries.

The national partnership is growing with Queensland returning and Western Australia joining by strengthening collaboration across ministry training, church planting, community care and cross-cultural mission.
