We're getting active in nature to help protect Australia's threatened animals! 🐸🐍🦘🦇

From 1 to 31 May, we'll be taking part in Australia’s Biggest Bushwalk challenge to raise funds to help save our beloved animals from extinction!

We are a veterinary student group passionate about wildlife and conserving species for the health of our ecosystems.🌿

Did you know that over 80% of Australia's animals are found nowhere else other than in our very own big backyard? Sadly, 666 of these animals like the numbat, pink cockatoo and mountain pygmy-possum are threatened species, losing their homes to bulldozing and climate change every single day.

Help us reach our team fundraising goal and support the wildlife we love. Please sponsor us today! https://australiasbiggestbushwalk.org.au/wesig

Alternatively, you can join our team and help us kick some goals - simply create your own profile here (https://join.australiasbiggestbushwalk.org.au/register/step1), set your own kilometre goal and join our team "WESIG".

Members, keep your eyes peeled for some fun social bushwalking days coming up this month!

Come and learn about the amazing EMS placement opportunities with Vets and Wildlife!

Vets and Wildlife are a small company who specialise in EMS projects offering smaller numbers of students on projects in order to maximise the hands-on experience.
There are 3 clinical projects in South Africa where students can work with a wildlife veterinarian. Their exciting new project focuses on Rhino conservation.
There is an excellent Rehabilitation Centre project in South Africa where pre-clinical students can have maximum hands-on experience with many different species of wildlife who need to be carefully rehabilitated before their return to the wild.
There are 3 excellent spay/neuter projects for clinical students in Sri Lanka. Two of the projects only take 2 students at any one time, therefore each student is able to work directly with the Vet and usually perform approximately 25 surgeries in the two week period.
Vets and Wildlife has been working with UK, European, Australian and USA veterinary students for over 15 years and with Gatton for approximately 12 years.
