UQ School of Biological Sciences The School of Biological Sciences at The University of Queensland is situated on the St Lucia campus in Brisbane and is part of the Faculty of Science.

Academic staff conduct research in evolution, global change biology, ecology, aquaculture, behaviour, physiology, entomology, zoology, botany, genomics, development and conservation biology. World-class infrastructure, proximity to stunning habitats and biodiversity, and our tropical-subtropical location contribute to our unique working environment. The School also hosts two research discipline centres, The Ecology Centre and the Centre for Marine Science.

Stephen Fry featured two pieces of "deadly and dangerous" research from UQ this week on QI - Quite Interesting.

Dr Diana Fisher's research on suicidal marsupial mice reproduction (http://bit.ly/1FHWJuO) and Assoc Prof Bryan Grieg Fry's work, which shows there is no such thing as a non-venomous snake (http://bit.ly/18O4jH0).

Stephen Fry looks at the quite interesting side of all things lethal, with a deadly and dangerous panel of Bill Bailey, Sandi Toksvig, Jason Manford and Alan Davies.
