Yesterday our men and women’s basketball teams faced off against Jane Franklin Hall Student Club and Hytten Hall (men’s only). The day saw fierce competition from all, so let’s give a run down:
The girls:
Coming off a solid win last year, our girls were ready to secure another win… and that’s exactly what they did! 🏆The ball seemed to be glued to Christ with how often they had control, with some cheeky 3s from E and Amity Hutton. We can’t forget to mention the collaboration of John Fisher College and Hytten, too😉. 3 for 3 next year?
The boys:
Our boys had 2 challenges to face, the first being having 1 sub and the second that both their games would be back to back. The first game against Hytten the boys came out leading strong, and stayed in the lead ‘till the end. This win meant that the game against Jane would be our gold medal decider!
With 5 minutes to reset and rehydrate, the boys took to the court against the raiders. Late in the second half, our boys were able to tie with Jane. But alas, the Jane lads were able to regain their lead and walk away with the win. Our boys might have left with silver, but they played like champions. 🥈
So, same time next year? 💛💙🖤🐗
