We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jane Fellow Father Michael Tate AO.

A much-loved and respected member of our community, Father Tate had a long association with the College, beginning during his time as Federal Minister for Justice and continuing through his years of service as the South Hobart parish priest.

Over many years, he formed strong connections with students, offering wisdom, kindness and mentorship.

He will be remembered with deep fondness. Vale, Father Tate.

We’re proud to see Jane alumnus Dr Isaac Poole featured by the University of Tasmania, highlighting an incredible career.

Isaac and his wife, Tia lived at Jane during their studies and now support future students through the Tia and Isaac Poole Scholarship.

A great reminder of the impact our community can have.
